M/P – John Peck “Penetrator”
1966 – 10’ 6” X 25 1/2” W X 2- 5/8”
thick, tail is 8.5”W , nose is 19”W. – both ends are sweet, and red
high density foam. Shaped and signed by Richard Deese.
Original condition, with split 1/8” Redwood T-band & white Hi
Density foam in the middle.
Original reconditioned 9.8 semi mint.
Blue slip check on nose. Foam has a little sun shade old resin no
sun burn. Fin is a blue and black acid swirl Wonder Bolt. Don’t
forget Tom Morey (M/P) invented the poly –pro fin, and the Wonder
Bolt Box. Box is beautiful inside and out. This stick is an
“animal”. Probably biggest “Penetrator” you’ll ever see
(awesome). You don’t surf it, you surf among it. Insane! I
recommend this board to be purchased local – So. California, because
of it’s GIRTH!
No twists, delams, cracks or any other
concerns you might have about this stick or any other board I offer
on my site, for your Quiver, or surf. An outstanding vintage piece
of surf history. Definitely rivals the blue tint penetrators with
the Doily slip check. This bad boy is a point and go ride.
I had this board on my site before.
It was twisted at both ends and I took the twist out perfect, and it
will stay that way. The board was in need of some professional
TLC work. So Sam Cody (Cody Color) and I (cheater-five vintage
surf), took on the project. It came out extremely bitchen. Keep in
mind this board is not a restoration, I dealt with what was there.
I couldn’t put this stick back on my site without doing the work.
Someone is going to be very stoked.
I
wet sanded the board as part of the reconditioning - thru different
grits, to get it down to it's original patina and I toned down the
few little pukas that were on the board.
Asking $3,500. Firm
