1968 - 9' 9" x 22½" - Pintail, Blue Hi-Density foam - ¼ up from tail - 50 / 50 rails slight pinch - 2 tone fin, Lt. Blue / Dark Blue - knee patch - All tight.  A San Diego stick.  Shaped by a craftsman like no other.  Diff was extremely talented with wood & foam.  He grew up in San Diego a member of Windansea Surf Club.  A real nice guy and always willing to help.  Tony Channin and Diff were partners for awhile in the 60's - Tony glassing also pinlines.  He also was very good.  They cranked out a lot of very exceptional boards.

Diff went out on his own after that in the 70's, 80's & 90's shaping under his own name, "Diffenderfer" - shaping Big Wave Guns and "Sunset" guns on the north shore, Ohau.  A lot of shapers in the early days, 60's, 70's tried to emulate Diff's style.

Food for thought - Diff & Brewer were shaping together and started Surf Boards Hawaii in the 1960's on the North Shore.

Diff was a real good casual surfer.  He definitely left his stamp on the surfing industry and community.  $1,600 for a rad ride and a piece of history.
