'76 Wilderness
(George Greenough Designs) Short Board

– shortboard, shaper Bob Duncan, 1976 - #20, pintail, channels on
bottom, air brush, board solid color. Board is reconditioned, soft
down railer, beak on nose, leash loop hole, style’n ride and hang
stick.
George Greenough opened his shop in Santa Barbara (not sure when or
how long – thru the 70’s. Shapers were Mike Cundeth, Bob Dunan and
possible John Ikehart. Big time water man photographer taking shots
of surfers in the water. Among those unforgettable water takes was
the feature motion picture “Big Wednesday”, all George Greenough.
He still does it to this day. An avid professional water
photographer.
No
cracks, delams, soft spots or any other cosmetic problems.
Last
thing I heard about George – he was living in the wilderness on top
of a mountain in Australia, with poisonous snakes (and there are
many different types over there that will kill you right now) coming
and going out of his house at will.
