1966 Con Colburn shape. 9’ 9” X 22 ½”
W. Con Comp, “wing nose” nose rider. Designed by Con Colburn
and George Bartell. Con had a very strong surf team. Consisting of
guys like Mike Ballard, The Seaman Brother’s Gary & Roy, Steve
Bigler, Claude Cogden, Bob Purvey, and Dale Dobson. Just a few of
the team riders of Con Colburn. Con had several good shapers over
the years.
This is the board that took off for
Con, one hell of a nose rider, in fact a very excellent riding stik
– both ends are perfect. The fin is perfect – rails are 50/50 –
foiled thinnish not fat. Black glass Con Comp fin. Sharp
rail at nose. Note: triple Comp band on nose-see pictures w/ small
Con Comp lam. on bottom of nose. On both sides of board there are
thin black resin arrows with arrow head pointing to nose. Two of
them, one on each side. Beautiful Turquoise hi-density foam
tail block. You don’t find these boards in this condition. You’ll
find them with the long fins snapped off or really dinged up because
they were good riders.
This Bad Boy is out of my collection,
so you’re guaranteed a bitchen clean stik – don’t pass on this rare
unmolested beauty.
$2,500.
Thank you for going to my site – more
